Research Technician II - Molecular Microbiology
Scheduled Hours40Position SummaryThis position assists with the technical aspects of studies and experiments, including documentation and preparation of materials. Projects focus on the characterization of diverse novel viruses. This includes viruses present in the human virome, those that infect model organisms (e.g., C. elegans), and bacteriophages that infect bacteria. Training will be provided in a variety of experimental techniques including nucleic acid extractions, NGS library construction and sequencing, real-time PCR, cloning, virus (and bacteriophage) culture, and bacteriology.Job DescriptionPr
