Research Professional 6-Bioinformatics Analyst - Department of Microbiology and Immunology
The University of Minnesota Department of Microbiology and Immunology (DMI) is hiring a full-time Bioinformatics Analyst. The analyst in this position will work in the Gale laboratory, and with collaborators across multiple lab groups to conduct cutting-edge bioinformatics analyses within the Department of Microbiology & Immunology and partnering with labs in the University of Minnesota Institute on Infectious Diseases (UMIID). The successful candidate will have the following responsibilities: 70% - Develop or integrate novel statistical methods and algorithms for analyzing large-scale data. 10% - Identify and integrate new, cutting-edge molecular technologies and analysis methods as they become useful for research and/or clinical purposes (e.g., single-cell expressio
