Postdoctoral Associate Position in Quantitative Microbiology at New York University
A Postdoctoral Associate position is currently available in the Kussell Lab at NYU’s Center for Genomics and Systems Biology for an experimentalist working at the intersection of quantitative microbiology and evolutionary dynamics. Current projects in the lab are focused on understanding how gene regulatory strategies and physiological mechanisms – including stress responses, stochastic switches, and phenotypic memory – evolve in bacterial populations under fluctuating conditions. We use a combination of quantitative microbiology techniques, synthetic biology, microfluidics, microscopy, and sequencing-based methods to track population structure during temporal fluctuations. We use biophysical
