The subject matter varies from semester to semester, based on the most recent advances in biotechnology. Topics include gene therapy/gene editing, personalized medicine, stem cells/regenerative medicine, bioremediation, environmental and sustainability biotechnology, optogenetics, nanotechnology, immunotherapy, and many others.
