The Department of Biological Sciences seeks to recruit a Lecturer with expertise in Microbiology to instruct in the undergraduate program. This is a non-tenure track position with an opportunity to advance to a permanent Lecturer position. The successful applicant will be expected to teach Microbiology, Microbiology Lab, introductory biology, non-majors genetics, and/or other lower-level biology courses. In addition to training undergraduates seeking bachelor?s degrees in Biological Science, the successful applicant would teach students who are training in allied health professions (nursing, pharmacy, physical therapy, dental hygiene, physician?s assistant or occupational therapy).

The successful applicant should have a Ph.D. or M.S. degree (Ph.D. preferred) and experience in college-level teaching, including laboratory courses. The candidate should have experience with current methods for encouraging student engagement and assessing learning.
