This position is for a person with a minimum of a B.S. in a science field and experience working in an immunology lab. Previous experience with flow cytometry, mouse handling and the ability to work independently are highly desired. Daily tasks include: mouse genotyping, cell transfers, isolation of lymphocytes from organs, flow cytometry, cell culture and data analysis. Salary is commensurate with experience.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform with PI Supervision: 5%: Mouse genotyping (DNA isolation, PCR) 10%: Cell transfers, mouse injections and pathology assessment(injection of mice by various routes, tumor size assessment, assessment of tissue pathology. ) 20%: Isolation of lymphocytes from organs (May include bone marrow, spleen, intestine, lymph node harvests, blood collection and processing, lymphocyte isolation, frozen tissue collection) 20%: Flow cytometry 10%: Tissue analysis (sectioning of tissues by cryostat and tissue section staining) 5%: Cell culture ( virus and bacterial propogation.) 30%: Data analysis

BS in Biology, Chemistry, Physiology, or related area of Biomedical Sciences OR equivalent combination of education and related work experience to total 4 years.
Previous experience performing flow cytometry and working with animals.
