Research Technician II - Molecular Microbiology
Scheduled Hours40Position SummaryOur group is studying the interactions among the microbiota, stromal cells and the immune system during health and disease. We are using systems-level approaches, gnotobiotic mouse models, and mouse/bacterial genetics to identify microbial structural components or metabolites that modulate stromal cells and the host immune system, as well as the host genes/pathways in host cells critical for sensing bacteria and regulating the host response during homeostasis and disease, including infectious disease. Our long-term goal is to understand the molecular mechanisms of host-microbe interactions in human diseases, and potentially improve targeted therapie
