General Statement

Adjunct instructors will teach courses to a diverse student population on our main campus in Worcester and/or at additional satellite locations within our service area (i.e., Southbridge and area high schools).  Courses may be assigned for days, evenings or weekends, and responsibilities include instructional preparation, assessment of student performance and assistance to students.  Adjunct faculty will attend a limited number of faculty meetings.  

Minimum Qualifications

Master's degree in Biology/Science Education or related discipline (2) One year of successfully teaching General Biology, Medical Microbiology, and/or Anatomy & Physiology lecture and laboratory in high school, or successfully teaching General Biology, Medical Microbiology, and/or Anatomy & Physiology lecture and laboratory to Health Care majors.

Preferred Qualifications

1.  Documented examples of curriculum / course development and assessment.

2. Demonstrated experience using a Learning Management System

3. Demonstrated experience in using technology in the teaching of biology in the classroom, including publisher web-based content

4. Demonstrated ability to collaborate with other Biology instructors

5. Demonstrated experience teaching in a remote videoconferencing modality

6. Ability to teach day, evening or weekend classes in more than one campus location.
