The laboratory of Dr. Florian Douam is looking for a research assistant to perform innovative animal research in the field of virology and emerging infectious diseases. The Douam Lab is located at the National Emerging Infectious Disease Laboratories and focuses on defining critical virus-host interactions that govern viral pathogenicity and anti-viral immunity during infection. To do so, we are using cutting-edge mouse models, live mosquitoes as well as innovative cell culture-based approaches. The animal research assistant will oversee our animal research program and will also support critical vaccine research in the laboratory.
