With your help, we can change the future of healthcare.
Cedars-Sinai is committed to pushing the frontiers of medicine and discovering new technologies and innovations that will change how we diagnose and treat disease. As an international leader in biomedical research, we translate discoveries into successful treatments with global impact.
Principal Investigator, Suzanne Devkota, PhD, is looking for a Postdoctoral Scientist to join the team!
We are searching for a Postdoctoral Scientist with a background and interest in microbiology, particularly in the mammalian host-microbe interface. The Devkota Lab is located within the F. Widjaja Foundation Inflammatory Bowel & Immunobiology Research Institute (IBIRI) at Cedars-Sinai, which is in the Division of Gastroenterology.
IBIRI is a multidisciplinary basic, translational, and clinical research program devoted to the study of Inflammatory Bowel Diseases and related complications. The Devkota Lab is also a member of the Departments of Biomedical Sciences, Bioinformatics and Functional Genomics, and Diabetes and Obesity Research Institute. Under the direction of Dr. Suzanne Devkota, the lab is seeking a highly motivated candidate to join her team studying the human gut microbiome in both immune-mediated and metabolic diseases.
Dr. Devkota spends considerable time with each lab member during one-on-one meetings each week, and seeks to understand each individual's career goals, and will specifically gear projects and experiences to support the career goals. The applicant will receive direct experience using cutting-edge tools to study and analyze human clinical specimens, with complementary animal and in vitro models.
