The primary responsibility of the Admin Associate II is to provide administrative and clerical support to the Department of Microbiology. This position works under the direction of the Microbiology Business Manager and provides support for departmental faculty, students and staff. This position will support the department's academic and research programs.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
Assistance with academic matters, course registrations and enrollment, monitor grade entry, micro course textbook orders, grad program admissions and records support, coordinating special events and projects, prepares petty cash reimbursements, assists with timetable entry and edits, assists with travel arrangements and reimbursements for faculty, students and visitors, maintain and update various department statistical records, assist with equipment inventory, schedule meetings and manage room reservations in AdAstra, initiating hire paperwork for new student employees, biweekly and monthly time entry, process personnel changes in IRIS, process procurement card charges, and assume other duties as assigned.
