Job Type/Schedule: This position is full-time and works approximately 40 hours per week. Department Name/Job Location: This position is in the Department of Molecular Microbiology. This position is for the Medical School Campus. Essential Functions: POSITION SUMMARY: This position is in the lab of Dr. Shabaana Khader, Department of Molecular Microbiology (www.khaderlab.wustl.edu). The senior technician will be part of an integrated team of researchers who will be involved in understanding the basis of protection against the disease tuberculosis. The technician will assist in studies to understand the molecular mechanisms that can be targeted to improve vaccines and therapeutics for tuberculosis. This position independently performs complex research studies, experiments and assays. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Required Qualifications: Master’s degree with two years of experience in a laboratory setting or an equivalent combination of education and experience equaling seven years. Preferred Qualifications:
Salary Range: The hiring range for this position is $17.00 - $22.96 per hour.
