Job Summary/Essential Job Functions: Under the direction of the an assigned supervisor, this position assists design and conduct experiments for a continuous research project that involves studying various immune cell receptor signaling and acute and chronic inflammatory diseases in the Department of Microbiology, Immunology and Biochemistry.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Plans experiments (designs and prepares experiments and writes procedures, protocols, and lab notes), records and analyzes data, and participates in lab meetings.
Conducts assigned research projects and experiments related to the study of protein-protein interactions and molecular mechanisms.
Assists in the design, manuscript, and grant writing of the research project.
Analyzes and consolidates research data and records.
Oversees/assists graduate students, research assistants, and postdoctoral fellows research projects and experiments.
Conducts routine laboratory operations (reagent preparation, supply inventory, supply order, equipment maintenance, clean and organize lab, etc.) and animal colony management.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
