Job Type/Schedule: This position is full-time and works approximately 40 hours per week. Department Name/Job Location: This position is in the Department of Molecular Microbiology. This position is for the Medical School Campus. Essential Functions: The Department of Molecular Microbiology is seeking a grant and/or research administrative professional to join our team during an exciting time of growth and transition. Our administrative team members average 23-years of experience creating an excellent environment for a department-based research administrative professional to be supported, grow, and thrive. We have a new Department Chair who plans to continue to grow the Department. The COVID-19 pandemic has presented many new opportunities for our faculty who are world-renowned Microbiologists, Immunologists, and Virologists. Our work environment (currently is all ‘from home’), will likely transition to a model that involves some if not substantial working from home post-pandemic. We seek an independent working and self-motivated (but still a team player) individual to join our administrative team. Our team assists Department Investigators in the submission of and/or management of their grants and finances as well as other administrative aspects of managing the business of a basic-science Department. Salary Range: Base pay commensurate with experience.
