Post-Doctoral Research Associate Regular Full-time The Department of Microbiology at the University of Tennessee is seeking a post-doctoral research associate to study viruses (phages) that infect a member of the Roseobacter lineage of marine bacteria. This is a full-time, grant-funded position with 1 year of support, renewal up to 3 years, within the Department of Microbiology. The candidate will work on a project to investigate host-phage interactions and influence on competitiveness in marine niches. The associate will perform experiments designed to understand novel interactions between phage and host extrachromosomal elements (plasmids). The associate will work closely with other investigators, write reports and manuscripts and assist in advising and training of graduate and undergraduate research students.
