The Microbiology and Molecular Pathology Lab Director,, Pathology Lab has the responsibility to plan, organize and administer all of the hospital's laboratory services under the direction of or in cooperation with the Microbiology and Molecular Biology Pathologists and Director, AHC,, Pathology Lab.. Directs and coordinates activities of lab professionals, technicians and non-technical team members in diagnostic work and treatment of patients. Along with laboratory directors and system laboratory leadership, the incumbent manages ongoing analysis, development and implementation of methods and systems to improve overall efficiency and effectiveness of services and functions. Works as a system laboratory leadership team member to identify best practices for the system including but not limited to laboratory technology and instrumentation, physician satisfaction, quality and regulatory, lean transformation and budget optimization. Responsible for activities, planning, organizing, budgeting and supervising all laboratory staff of two or more hospitals.
A Bachelor's Degree in Clinical Laboratory Science/Medical Technology or related field and an MT-ASCP or equivalent certification required. A minimum of 5 years level of management experience.
