Post-doctoral Research Associate Department of Microbiology, University of Tennessee, Knoxville
A post-doctoral position is available in the laboratory of Vitaly V. Ganusov in the Department of Microbiology at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville in the area of modeling within-host dynamics of viral infections and immune responses. Specific project on which the post-doc is expected to work is to develop mathematical models of escape of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) from T cell immunity. We aim at determining factors that define the timing and probability of viral escape, whether immune response kinetics plays important role in escape, and whether viral escape leads to change in viral load in infected patients.
