Position provides executive-level administrative/secretarial support to a senior investigator with a large research program who is the current interim Chair.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Organize and coordinate on-site, off-site and online research meetings with collaborators.
Schedules and maintains appointment, lecture and meeting schedules.
Maintains confidential administrative and correspondence files.
Prepares correspondence, material for meetings and presentations, takes minutes and transcribes material as requested.
Coordinates travel arrangements, including lodging, visas, passports, expense reports, reimbursements and honoraria.
Answers phone, takes messages and screens calls providing information in accordance with organizational policy.
Coordinates/prepares reports, minutes, correspondence, lectures and administrative materials required for the communication of research projects with WUSTL and non-WUSTL collaborators (including many international collaborators).
Coordinate grant submissions: prepare and review submission documents, maintain CVs and biosketches, monitor award funds in partnership with faculty and the department business office.
Organize manuscript submission and reviews, ensure compliance with NIH Public Access Policy, submit and track PMCID numbers for all laboratory publications.
Equivalent of a high school diploma with two years of college or secretarial training.
Three to five years of secretarial experience.
Working knowledge of general office equipment.
Effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills that require dealing with a diverse population.
Effective organizational skills and ability to prioritize work load.
The hiring range for this position is $19.18 - $24.47 per hour.
