THIS IS NOT AN H1- B OPPORTUNITY ResponsibilitiesThe Administrative Assistant provides analytic support for the Chair and the Department of Medical Microbiology and Immunology and supports the academic and research missions of the Department. Participates in preparing reports and special projects as assigned by the CAO and provides analytic support to the Department participating in the teaching, research and service missions of the Department with a focus on Academic Personnel. Required Qualifications
Administrative office support experience
Experience planning events, meetings, and conferences
Strong analytical, research, writing and oral communications skills
Experience working with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Excellent interpersonal skills to represent UC Davis effectively, and the ability to work cooperatively and professionally with all levels of employees within and beyond the University
Strong organizational skills and ability to establish priorities and meet deadlines
Demonstrated effective decision making with good judgment and integrity
Knowledge of academic personnel and the APM
Experience in an academic institutional setting
Knowledge or ability to work in software programs such as UC Path, Aggie Service, KFS, Decision Support, Aggie Travel, MIV and Recruit
