JOB SUMMARY:Adelphi University invites applications for a temporary lecturer in microbiology to begin fall 2019. We seek a lecturer to teach microbiology lecture and laboratory for a 1-year appointment. The successful applicant will join an active, engaged, and collegial department spanning all areas of biology. Support for teaching development available in the department and university. Teaching microbiology lecture and laboratory for nursing majors.
Ability to teach in genetics, pathophysiology, and/or anatomy & physiology would be a plus.
Lecturers teach 12 contact hours per semester.
Ph.D in Biology or Doctorate in a medical field is required.
Commitment to teaching students from diverse cultural backgrounds and excellent potential as a teacher.
Prior teaching experience is highly preferred.
