Program Assistant I - Microbiology, Immunology and Cell Biology 10715
The West Virginia University Department of Microbiology, Immunology and Cell Biology is seeking applications for a Program Assistant I. This position is responsible for providing administrative support.
In order to be successful in this position, the ideal candidate will:
Process Mountaineer Marketplace orders
Keep State Budget Fund sheet updated
Assist with ensuring departmental Pcards are reconciled in a timely manner
Serve as Departmental contact for pcard requests / changes / cancellations
Responsible for mail pick-up, and package delivery to Department labs
Set up and maintain departmental email distribution lists
Responsible for answering departmental phone
Process catering requests for the department
Oversee the Asset Inventory process for departmental equipment
Submit work orders / maintenance requests for the department
Pay Grade: 12
Associate degree in accounting or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Six (6) months of working knowledge of accounting practices and principles.
General Office knowledge
Ability to prepare, analyze and maintain computerized ledger sheets
Maintain current data collected from Mountaineer Marketplace
Ability to work independently, efficiently and effectively with a minimum of supervision.
Ability to set priorities and use good judgment
Excellent oral and writing skills as well as strong attention to detail
Demonstrated computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Email, MAP/ORACLE, SOLE, Data Miner, and the ability to navigate the internet
