Title: Postdoctoral Research Associate
Category: Faculty, Non-Tenured Track (annual appointment with the possibility of renewal)
Qualifications: PhD in Marine Science or related field
Responsibilities: A Postdoctoral Research Associate is available at the University of Maryland Baltimore County in Department of Marine Biotechnology at the Institute of Marine and Environmental Technology in the laboratory of Dr. Ten-Tsao Wong to assist in research of fish sterility induction. Responsibilities will include fish husbandry, fish egg/embryo culture and treatment, sample collection, laboratory bio and molecular assays and field work. The position is in collaboration with Dr. Adam Luckenbach at the NOAA Fisheries facility in Seattle, WA. The postdoc will be jointly trained in Baltimore, MD and Seattle, WA. Must be willing to travel and stay in the Seattle, WA area for four to six months a year.
We seek an individual with strong experience in marine biology, biology, fisheries, zoology, agriculture, aquaculture or related field.
Salary: Commensurate with experience.
