Microbiology and Immunology - Assistant Professor
The Department of Microbiology and Immunology seeks candidates for a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level. We are seeking a creative and visionary investigator employing cutting-edge approaches in the broadly defined area of Microbiology, including microbial pathogenesis, virology, and the investigation of basic biological problems using microbes. We are particularly interested in researchers drawing on approaches from a variety of disciplines. Research space is located in Genentech Hall on the Mission Bay Campus of UCSF.
Candidates are expected to hold a PhD degree and to have demonstrated significant accomplishment and potential in their field. The successful candidate will be expected to establish a dynamic and interactive research program and to excel at graduate teaching. The successful candidate will be eligible for membership in diverse graduate programs, including but not limited to the Tetrad (Cell Biology, Biochemistry and Biophysics, Genetics, and Developmental Biology) and BMS (Biomedical Sciences) programs.
