The National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories (NEIDL) at Boston University, Boston, MA has a position for a highly motivated individual as a Research Assistant in the area of viral pathogenesis and infection there will be a focus on filoviruses e.g. Ebola virus and Marburg virus. Responsibilities include conducting research projects that will lead to the development of filovirus vaccines and therapeutics. Following applicable checks and training this position will require work in the Biosafety Level 4 laboratory at the NEIDL.
The position requires a B.S. in a biomedical science or equivalent. Master's degree preferred. Experience in molecular biology and virology is desired. This person should be able to pass an FBI Security Risk Assessment to enable work with Select Agents. Work will include time at Biosafety Level 4.
