Teaching assignments include day, evening and weekend classes, as well as online instruction. Candidate must participate in departmental and college committees and campus professional activities; engage with community organizations as appropriate; and actively participate in professional organizations and on- and off-campus K-12 outreach activities.
Master's degree in Biology or a master's degree with at least thirty (30) approved graduate semester hours in the subject and related fields.
Experience teaching lab-based courses [Microbiology and Anatomy/Physiology] preferred. Combinations of the following are preferred: community college experience, varied pedagogical methods, and familiarity with classroom assessment techniques. A successful candidate must be able to work effectively with students, faculty, and staff with diverse socioeconomic, cultural and racial/ethnic backgrounds as well as diverse abilities/disabilities.
