The Center for Environmental Biotechnology at the University of Tennessee invites applications for a Research Associate II position in Organic and Analytical Chemistry with a focus on Chemical Biology and Environmental Toxicology. The primary purpose of the position is to perform laboratory research in the field of organic and analytical chemistry within the discipline of environmental toxicology. Specific tasks will include operation of mass spectrometry equipment and related analytical assays and metabolomic/proteomic data processing. The candidate will be expected to have a strong knowledge of metabolomics and proteomics as it applies to environmental toxicology. Opportunities to self-lead metabolomic projects and to publish in the peer-reviewed literature are broadly available.
This position is a temporary, full-time assignment for 12 months and up to 36 months, contingent on successful performance and availability of funds.
