Essential Duties & Responsibilities
This individual will be responsible for the continued advancement of the research, educational, and service activities of the department, as well as the continued development of collaborations throughout the university. Resources are available for the continued development of the department, including recruitment of new faculty. Ample collaborative opportunities exist with other departments and schools within RFUMS. The department is actively engaged in teaching students in both the Medical School and the basic sciences Interdisciplinary Graduate Program.
All full-time faculty members employed by RFUMS are expected to engage in activities that are considered core to their primary role as a faculty member. These activities may include teaching, scholarly activity, and service.

Scholarly activities and/or clinical activities are negotiated and determined at the department level and are primarily based upon the faculty track.
Required Education & Experience Applicants must have a PhD, MD, MD/PhD or equivalent degree and be eligible for the rank of full Professor with tenure.
Candidates should have extensive research accomplishments and substantial research support, have proven leadership ability, have an established record of training students and postdoctoral fellows, and be interested in leading the Department in the above areas.
