The Department of Microbiology and Immunology at ATSU-Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine, invites applications for Chairperson.
The chairperson will report to the Associate Dean for Academic and Clinical Educational Affairs and will be responsible for envisioning, developing, and coordinating the implementation of academic programs.
Applicants must have a Ph.D. or other doctoral degree in microbiology, immunology, or a related biomedical discipline.
The successful candidate will have demonstrated breadth of mature academic skills in the discipline of microbiology or immunology and will have a minimum of five years teaching experience at the medical and/or graduate school level.
Candidates should have a history of consistent scholarly productivity as a senior biomedical researcher with success in publication and acquisition of extramural research funding. Successful applicants will have experience in academic governance and leadership.
