A Research Technician position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Rahm Gummuluru in the Department of Microbiology at Boston University School of Medicine. Our research program focuses on molecular virology, and especially on the pathogenesis of human immunodeficiency virus type 1. Experience with techniques used in molecular biology, cell biology, basic protein chemistry, and ordering, laboratory maintenance as well as performing experiments. Must be detailed oriented, with good interpersonal skills. Position available immediately.
This position is grant funded.
The candidate must have a Bachelor's degree and have prior experience in a laboratory environment. Preference will be given to those candidates with expertise in tissue culture and molecular biology techniques.
