The Biology Department and Biotechnology Program at Worcester State University invite applications for a full-time, tenure-track biotechnologist with teaching and research experience to begin in the Fall of 2018.
Applicants should have exceptional oral and written communication skills and a strong commitment to training future scientists. The successful candidate will be expected to: teach lecture and laboratory courses in areas such as microbiology, tissue culture, biotechnology, and cellular/molecular biology; to develop and involve undergraduates in an active research program; and to support the Master's program in Biotechnology through graduate-level teaching and supervision of thesis work.
A Ph.D. in Biotechnology or a related field is required, and postdoctoral experience is strongly desirable. Candidates are sought from the broad spectrum of fields within biotechnology or the pharmaceutical sciences, but special attention will be given to those with experience in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industries.
Salary and rank commensurate with education and experience.
